Everything’s ready for the beginning of CEV U17 European Championships Qualification Tournament (2nd round poule B) - in Bassano del Grappa - that next April they will be played in Bulgaria. The four participant teams - Italy, Croazia, Poland and Austria - are on their way to the Venetian city.

Those are the words of the mayor of Bassano del Grappa, nominated “European City of the Sport” of the year: "I am proud and gratified that such an important European competition can be host in our city, right at the beginning of 2018, which will see Bassano del Grappa "European City of the Sport." As ex-volleyball player, the sense of achievement is enormous, because with this event we have the possibility to take root this sport in everything of our territory, more than it already is.”

This is also the greeting of Vice President Fipav, Adriano Bilato: “This tournament is very important because it represents the pass for the European Championship but also for the World Championship, which will get its participants from the continental events. I remember that - in this category - Italy has won the last two editions of the World Championship and that the group will play in Bassano, It’s European Champion too. As a Venetian I remember with emotion 2009 World Championship which take place in Bassano and I am also particularly pleased to be able to highlight the way the city welcomed us."
