Michele Fanni (Italy coach): “I think it was fundamental girls reaction after the second set. It’s the best thing girls had show me today. We had made a very good start, exactly how We plan to do! Poland was good at the serve and We were in trouble in reception, but We stayed strong and We did it!” The best performances of the Italian team are those of Alessia Bolzanetti (19 pts) and Loveth O. Omoruyi (20 pts).
Andrzej Pec (Poland Coach): “Italy is a strong team. They have proven they’re the European Champions. We train together from six months, so many play dynamics are still complicated. We have much to do. Congratulations to Italy!”
For the Italian Fipav President Pietro Bruno Cattaneo “For Italy is an important year because We will host the Men’s World Championship 2018, but We have a lot of expectations also for all the teams of each category!”
